Update on our Family

Mom had knee surgery on Wednesday. It ended being a full knee replacement plus they added some bone. I'm not sure how mom was even functioning. She has always been on the go and helping other people. I know these next few months are going to be difficult for her. The doctor feels good about her progress. We were hoping to bring her home this weekend, but the surgery was so intensive that she is going to have to go to a rehab center. It looks like she may be at a rehab center for several weeks. The decision of what rehab center and where is in the hands of the insurance company. I've decided that I'm about tired of insurance plans. You can only pray that you have the right plan to pay for all of the expenses.

While mom is recuperating I have become the official dogsitter. My niece, Michelle and her husband, are helping. I'm so glad that they are here and are so helpful. Bailey finally had something to do with me last night. The dogs really miss mother. As pathetic as it sounds, I may have to load the dogs up and go for a ride. They seem to sense that mother may not be there for a while.

Great news!! Lacey took her insurance test today and passed. We are so excited for her. Hearing that great news sure did help to brighten the day.

More Great News!! Logan went to a competition this weekend for machinist skills. He took state. We are thrilled. In June, he will attend Nationals in Kansas City. It is a great experience for him.

Jayleigh is one month old

I had to post a couple of these pictures. I love the way that Jayleigh just looks at you. She is looking at Lyndsay in this picture. When she looks at you she has her eyes focused on you. In a month, she has learned a lot.

Jayleigh starting to smile at her daddy.

Jayleigh is a month old. I can hardly believe it. The time has gone by so fast. She is changing so much. She still sleeps quite a bit, but when she is awake she is all eyes.

Grandpa and Jayleigh

Jayleigh is such a blessing to our lives. I now know why my mom and dad were
always on the road visiting their grandkids. I wished that they lived closer, but it is nice that they are employed and happy in Cedar City.

Junior Prom

Last night was Katie's prom at North Sevier High School. I wanted to share a few pictures of Logan and Katie. It was interesting to attend the prom. The majority of the girls had big, poofy, dresses. They were beautiful. Katie's dress was gorgeous. It was absolutely one of the most beautiful dresses there. It had quite the glitter to it. Logan danced with Katie in the promenade. He did really well. I was impressed that he was willing to do that, since he didn't dance in his own prom. Katie and Logan are going to attend the South Sevier's prom tonight. They are having it at the Sevier Valley Center. They are having valet parking for the Juniors. I thought that was a fun idea.
